You guys, this has been a long time coming. When we first started dating Ben did not understand what it meant to struggle with weight your entire life. He didn't understand what a yo-yo dieter meant nor did he care. I would try time and time again to get him to understand that when I am trying to get in shape that he can't just be making WHATEVER he wanted and eating it in front of me. I can remember a time when I was on a juice fast and in my first couple of days he decided he was going to make cinnamon rolls come hell or high water. We got into the biggest fight of our relationship up until that point. Man, I took those rolls out of the oven and threw them out the back door so fast! Lol, we have come a looooong way.
We both learned how to compromise and work together. That is what really makes this whole thing work now. It didn't hurt that he gained a big ol belly after getting his really nice, new job, haha. He wanted to eat, I wanted to starve (and fail) so we had to hit middle ground.
The Elite eating guide is an awesome compromise for the both of us. We can both find meals we like, that are easy to make and filling. Also, I can easily take any meal idea and turn it into a Vegan dish for myself.
